Katheryn is the author and illustrator of Daphne and the Mystery of the Half-Buried Egg, a story inspired by the very same mysterious event in her childhood. Katheryn and her family woke up one morning to find a half-buried egg in their front lawn, and eventually went on to discover where it came from (after a lot of confusion and speculation!

From the author:
“This was such an intriguing mystery at the time, even for my parents, who hadn’t ever seen anything like this before. This curious childhood memory popped into my head again a while later when I became a mum, and I realised that this was the perfect inspiration for my first book for children – it’s educational, mysterious, and I doubt many parents would even guess the twist unless it had happened to them…”

Katheryn lives in Nottingham with her husband and two daughters. She has been writing fiction since the age of fourteen, and is especially inspired by the curious nature of children.

Katheryn loves: Winter, cinnamon buns, dinosaurs, cosy novelty socks, Christmas and being extra silly with her daughters.
